RW-4852 and OS-7246 Authorization to Construct and Operate a Right of Way for a natural gas Pipeline and associated riser – Public Comments Invited

February 8, 2023 – Indian Oil and Gas Canada must determine whether the proposed RW-4852 and OS-7246 Authorization to Construct and Operate a Right of Way for a natural gas Pipeline and associated riser, located in Alexander First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Indian Oil and Gas Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

A 15 m wide, 4,287 m long right of way easement will provide for the construction and operation of a pipeline riser and a pipeline that will transport natural gas. Construction of this infrastructure and reclamation of the right of way will be completed within the first year of the project. Following decommissioning of the pipeline, the right of way will be surrendered.
