Notice of intent to make a determination

Heart Lake First Nation Inter-jurisdictional Access Road Project – Public Comments Invited

October 5, 2022 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Heart Lake First Nation Inter-jurisdictional Access Road Project located in Heart Lake First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

The project will involve the construction of an approximately 5.6 km gravel road, extending from the Heart Lake First Nation main road to provincial highway 881.
