July 12, 2022 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence is proposing to carry out various repairs and modifications to building D247 at Her Majesty's Canadian Dockyard. Project activities include replacing the main roof and the lower roofs; replacing all roof drains on the main roof and on the lower roofs; replacing the existing rooftop air handling unit on the roof of the car pass office; replacing sleeving of the existing vent stacks; modifications of the refrigerant piping and pipe supports between the two existing condensers and the building; modifications of the roof curbs of the two existing condensers on the lower roof; replacing flashing of the exhaust air ducts on the lower roofs; and various repairs to building walls, doors, and windows.
