Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation  - Lloyd S. King Elementary School Expansion Project – Public Comments Invited

August 3, 2021 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Lloyd S. King Elementary School Expansion Project, located in Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

The Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation is proposing an expansion to the existing Lloyd S. King Elementary School. The expansion will include new classrooms and a new childcare wing, totaling approximately 1,752 square metres in size, with outdoor play areas of approximately 485 square metres. The site development will also include minor upgrades and extension of the driveway and parking area. The project is  located within Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation New Credit No. 40A reserve land at 659 - Unit #3 New Credit Road, Hagersville, ON. The Project aims to reduce overcrowding at the school and accommodate the growing student population in the community.
