Notice of intent to make a determination

Alexander Public Works and Fire hall Building Project– Public Comments Invited

July 14, 2021 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the Alexander Public Works and Fire hall Building Project on Alexander First Nation reserve lands is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

Alexander First Nation plans to develop their existing public works yard. The proposed development would include the construction of an equipment storage facility and an administrative building along with the installation of several above ground fuel storage tanks, and a gravel road.
