Lourdes-de-Blanc-Sablon Airport - Demolition and reconstruction of a hangar  – PUBLIC COMMENTS INVITED

May 7th 2021 – Transport Canada must determine whether the proposed demolition and reconstruction of a hangar at Lourdes-de-Blanc-Sablon Airport is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Transport Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public [and may be posted online]. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

The project consists of deconstructing the current hangar located on site and constructing a new building to replace it with a larger surface area. The work will include the dismantling of the structure, the preparation of the site, the excavation for a foundation wall and the installation of a septic tank. The works are scheduled for June 2021 to the end of September 2021.
