The Proposed Project

IPC Canada Ltd. is proposing to install a pipeline to an oil well within the Oil Access Area on CFB Suffield, approximately 75 km from Medicine Hat, Alberta. The well was previously planned to produce to a single well battery (SWB). Pending success of drilling the well, it may go directly to pipeline rather than SWB. Installing a pipeline will increase the efficiency of operations by eliminating trucking and product transfer, while reducing emissions. Approximately 2.3 km of new right-of-way (ROW) at 15m wide will be required for the installation of the pipeline. A 250m ROW for power may also be acquired to the site from a nearby powerline. The ROW's will be reclaimed once construction is complete and surrendered upon exhaustion of the productive life of the associated well.
