Public Comment Period on Intent to Make a Determination
Fencing Soil Transfer Site, Garrison Petawawa

January 29, 2021 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

Real Properties Operations Detachment Petawawa at Garrison Petawawa is proposing the construction of a 2.4 metre high chain link perimeter fence around an existing concrete slab, including two double gates for access. The project is required to control access to the present Soil Transfer Site.
