The Proposed Project

The proposed project includes the connection of the Cold Lake First Nation to the Cold Lake/Bonyville regional water system. The project includes connecting a supply main from the regional water system to the core area of the First Nation, and an expansion of the Cold Lake First Nation's distribution system to service rural residences within the First Nation lands with potable water. The proposed infrastructure includes construction of a new water booster pumphouse building complete with gravity sewer, natural gas backup generator, and natural gas unit heaters. It also includes the installation of approximately 3 km of treated water supply main, 28 km of distribution mains, and 20 km of service piping.
