March 30, 2020 - Indigenous Services Canada has determined that the proposed Albert Street Building Development is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

The determination was based on a consideration of the following factors:

- the Cowessess First Nation held a designation vote and in follow-up has requested by Band Council Resolution that a lease be issued for this property
-the construction and maintenance of the development will provide employment and training opportunities for members of the community
-all required permits / approvals and reviews from delegated authorities have been incorporated into the project design and methodology
-the property is subject to City of Regina municipal servicing agreement,  and the operation will utilize city infrastructure for water and sewer

Indigenous Services Canada is satisfied that the carrying out of the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
