Public Comment Period on Intent to Make a Determination
Repair of Stone wall at 63 Saint-Louis Street, Old Québec

March 13, 2020 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed Repair of Stone wall at 63 Saint-Louis Street, Old Québec is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

The project consists of solidifying an adjoining masonry wall, at the request of the owner adjacent to the property at 63 Saint-Louis Street, Old Québec which is managed by CFHA. Contaminated soil is present and soil tests are underway to determine the level of contamination and the approximate volumes of soil to be managed, if applicable.
