Dear Mr. Igoliorte:

SUBJECT: Inclusion of Exploration Licence 1155 in the Husky Energy Exploration Drilling Project subject to Environmental Assessment

In response to your April 16, 2018 request, the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (the Agency) has decided to include Exploration Licence (EL) 1155 in the Husky Energy Exploration Drilling Project (Project) subject to environmental assessment under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, 2012.

In doing so, the Agency has amended the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) Guidelines for the Project to add exploration drilling within EL 1155 and associated incidental activities into the description of the Designated Project set out in Part 1, Section 3.1 of the document. For clarity, all information requirements set out in the EIS Guidelines now apply to exploration drilling activities within ELs 1151, 1152, and 1155.

This letter, the revised EIS Guidelines, and a Project update will be posted on the Canadian Environmental Assessment Registry at: http://www.ceaa-acee.gc.ca/050/evaluations/proj/80130?culture=en-CA.

If you have any questions, or require any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact Cheryl Benjamin, at Husky@ceaa-acee.gc.ca or 902-426-8946.

Best Regards,

Cheryl Benjamin
