Notice of Termination

Ottawa — May 19, 2016 — The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (the Agency) has terminated the comprehensive study of the Raven Underground Coal Mine Project (the Project) pursuant to the former Canadian Environmental Assessment Act.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada and the Port Alberni Port Authority have confirmed that they will not exercise any power or perform any duties or functions in relation to the Project. As a result, the environmental assessment of the Project has been terminated.
