Notice of Termination

Ottawa — May 3, 2016 — The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (the Agency) has terminated the comprehensive study of the Schaft Creek Mine Project (the Project) pursuant to the former Canadian Environmental Assessment Act.

Teck Resources Limited has notified the Agency that they wish to withdraw the Project from the federal environmental assessment process. Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Transport Canada, Natural Resources Canada and Environment and Climate Change Canada have confirmed that they will not exercise any power or perform any duties or functions in relation to the Project. As a result, the environmental assessment of the Project has been terminated.
