Participant funding available from the National Energy Board

The NEB will make funds available under its Participant Funding Program (PFP) to assist directly affected persons in participating in the regulatory process of the proposed North Montney project.

Funds will be made available to help persons who are directly affected, or who have relevant information or expertise, review and comment on the project application submitted by the proponent, NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd.  Funding must be used to prepare for and participate in the hearing process, which is scheduled for 19 August 2014 (Part III – Facilities portion of the application) and 8 September 2014 (Part IV – Tolls and Tariffs portion of the application).   To receive funding, all approved recipients will be required to apply to participate and be granted intervenor status in the NEB's regulatory process for this project.

Funding applications can be submitted beginning now, and will be accepted up until 20 July 2014.  This deadline is 30 days prior to the expected beginning of the oral portion of the hearing in Fort St. John, British Columbia on 19 August 2014.  Any schedule changes will announced by Procedural Updates. The hearing dates and other hearing deadlines may be found in the Board's Hearing Order GH-001-2014 issued 5 February 2014.
