Strongly Opposed to AI Data Center

A terrible idea that I am massively opposed to as a resident of Calgary. AI data centers are a waste of resources for something that people really don't want or need. Calgary is already going through a water crisis and we're already being asked to watch our water usage right now, and you want to waste that precious water on an AI data center that nobody wants? It's just a drain on our resources that could have been better spent on the citizens who need it. Even beyond environmental concerns, I am very concerned about AI; the prevalence of people being fired from their jobs in favor of replacing them with AI, something which has happened in front of my own eyes in my own work field, and the ways that AI has negatively impacted peoples mental well being, not to mention the concerns of where exactly they have taken their data from. Nothing about this brings any benefit to Canadians, and only negatively impacts the Albertans living around it. I am so tired of AI being pushed on us when the overwhelming response has been "please stop."
