Support for FPX Baptiste Nickel Project

I am writing as a member of the public with experience working in the mining industry, particularly in the heavy equipment sector. Over the years I have spent time on several mine sites across western Canada and have seen firsthand the role that responsible mining projects can play in supporting regional economies and provide stable, long term employment. 
I recognize the growing importance of critical minerals such as nickel. Nickel is akey component in many modern technologies, including batteries used in electric vehicles, and energy storage devices. Developing responsible sources of these materials in Canada is important for both economic and strategic reasons. 
Projects like Baptiste should of course move through an assessment process and I appreciate the opportunity for public input.
