Responsible and meaningful engagement

I'm a KIU (Economic Development Corporation owned by the Yekooche First Nation) board member and I've had the pleasure of sitting on the FPX leadship table for the past year.  I believe that the effort the FPX is putting forth in true engagement with the affected First Nations is truly first class.  First Nations opinions are solicited, listened to and and then after discussion,  become part of the operating and or environmental plan going forward.  They have done an outstanding job of getting a concensus from a diverse group of participants, all the while moving the plan forward at a pace that doesn't move faster than the group needs.

This engagement coupled with the low carbon, low (or no) sulphur tailings, and the genuine economic development opportunities for the First Nations in the area has lead to broad First Nations support for the project.

I fully support the development of this mine.
