Letter of Support - Baptiste Nickel Project

Please accept this letter in support of FPX Nickel Corp.’s advancement of the Baptiste Nickel Project, including the submission of the Initial Project Description. Council for the District of Fort St. James, on February 10, 2026, passed the following resolution:

THAT Council provides a letter of support for the Baptiste Nickel’s Initial Project Description.

FPX’s Baptiste Nickel Project has the potential to be a key contributor of nickel to the Canadian supply chain, with significant environmental attributes including low sulphide content, the use of low-carbon hydroelectric power, and a mineralogy that does not require intermediate processing prior to final refining to produce market-ready nickel.

Mining has played a critical role in maintaining economic balance in our region. New projects such as the Baptiste Nickel Project are necessary to provide stability in the local and regional workforce and to support employment opportunities, with a focus on local training and hiring.

We are supportive of the studies FPX has and will continue to advance as part of the Environmental Assessment process and appreciate the opportunity to support outcomes that are beneficial for our region. We are firmly supportive of further studies to assist in understanding the engineering aspects of the Project.
