I've spent a significant amount of time lately digging into the Baptiste Nickel Project for my MBA research, and I wanted to share why I'm fully backing FPX Nickel on this one. It's rare to see a project where the environmental science and the social ethics actually line up this well.

The real game-changer here is the awaruite ore, because of how this specific nickel-iron alloy is structured, it can be processed using magnetic separation rather than traditional, high-pollution smelting. This means a much lower carbon footprint and a cleaner way to get the minerals we need for the green energy transition. It's exactly the kind of innovation we should be championing right here in BC.

What I respect most, though, is how FPX has handled their relationships. They haven't just checked a box; they've put in the work to involve locals and build genuine partnerships with the Binche Whut'en and Tl'azt'en Nations. Seeing that level of respect for First Nation's leadership and land stewardship makes me much more confident in the project's long-term success.

We need nickel for the future, but we need to get it right. Between the low-pollution tech and the solid foundation they’ve built with the community, the Baptiste Project is a massive win for our region.
