The climate crisis demands faster solutions to growing energy demands

Nuclear reactor facilities take a very long time to build and are very expensive. Not to mention the debt we would force our descendents to pay in terms of managing the nuclear waste at the reactor's end of life. Renewables are faster to implement and much less expensive. Climate change is upon us and we must do everything we can to lower the trajectory of warming while meeting our country's increasing enenergy demands. Nuclear is not the solution to this problem--renewables are.
