Abandon the proposed Wesleyville nuclear power plant

I have spent decades considering the issue of nuclear power and the production of electricity using nuclear power. I believe that the use of nuclear power for both weapons and for power production is a kind of insanity. The emissions and waste from nuclear power production cannot be contained nor safely managed and stored. The risks are much too high. The consequences of a failure to safely operate and manage nuclear power and its waste products are catastrophic. My strong recommendation to both the Government of Canada, Ontario Power Generation, and the Government of Ontario is to abandon the proposed Wesleyville nuclear power plant and find safer and more cost effective alternatives.
