60 days is not meaningful consultation!

                                                         Caretakers of the Land ! 

                             Economic growth at the cost of a hundreds of thousands of residents who's families rely on the clean air and water is not meaningful consultation for those who will have to live through the next 50 years of pollutions expelled. We as caretakers of this land are outraged at the lack of respectful consultation and timeframe given to review and investigate the plans put forward . When money becomes a driving factor and humanity suffers ,that is cause for concern. All the money in the world cannot replace your loved ones who have passed from pollution caused by industrial factors which were avoidable! 
                  The Atura meeting I attended was 40 minutes, and that did not show expertise in the planing stages, and the staff had no understanding of First Nations relationship to the Land . The slide show presented had very little planning and created more questions than answers. 
                  The Consultation process even before BillC-5 was flawed. The planning stage with First Nations was not included during the Drafting of Blueprints as well as permissions to move forward . 2016 ,that's 9 years we should have had to present a valid yay or nay to this project . Legal representation or our own environmental experts on our behalf could have presented a legal rebuttal and were never included in this process . 
                 The current upgrading of Hydro lines shows the planning stages began with approval in mind . That all goes hand in hand with the upgrading of Enbridges pipe lines throughout lambton and Kent counties . This was done under the term of upgrading, but was there an alternative motive ?
                  As we move forward into the 21st century, the current political state is avoiding responsibility towards First Nations Treaties , United Nations agreements as well as international law . Our voices are masked under a hail storm of politics!
