Centre Village Renewables Integration and Grid Security Project

I am writing to strongly object to the Centre Village Renewables Integration and Grid Security Project in Tantramar, New Brunswick. 1. Climate change is devestating current and future life on earth and fossil fuels are the number one cause for this. We are past 'mitigating' impact: we must halt all new projects using them: especially considering the devestating effects of fracking wherever its sourced. 2. The potential for destruction of the crucial life-sustaining and sensitive environmental and connective Chignecto waterways can not be risked. 3. This gas and diesel burning plant is being planned for a rural area with no viable fire department, hospital or emergency services anywhere remotely close enough to respond if an emergency/explosion/fire/leak arises: which is GUARANTEED to take place over a 25-year contract with a foreign energy corporation that can not be trusted to follow through on regulations- see ProEnergy's track record and open court case in Venezuela. 4. The US is a highly unstable political entity that is threatening to colonize Canada, has overt designs on its natural resources, freshwater and Arctic, and is engaged in a tariff war against us. 5. This has been rushed through without any proper transparent community support, environmental, economic or health assessments, or honest all-in Indigenous consulation. 6. There is no honest plan or accountable responsiblility for what happens with this proposed toxic garbage land/building in 25 years.

You are in for a messy public fight on your hands.

WHAT IS NB POWER and the PROVINCIAL/FEDERAL governement THINKING even considering this project at this time in this place with these people???? -Shary Boyle
