Letter in opposition to the (fossil fuel) gas plant.

To tell you my history with (and love for) this century farm that I purchased 22 years ago, having devoted much money and time in its restoration and upkeep, would be fruitless because a large American company wants to infiltrate our way of life in rural New Brunswick to line their pockets with money and with little regard to the environment and people/farmers who live here. It seems apparent—by attending information gatherings—that ‘they’ are bulldozing a path to what THEY want, regardless of what others may feel or what the environment needs (or NOT!).

The environment is suffering terribly—consider the oven that we have been baking in this week and the lack of water (near drought conditions) this summer. We are suffering terribly because of fossil fuels and to allow such a to be built would be a criminal act in my opinion. Why would Canadians and New Brunswickers allow this facility to be built in our backyard? It would be an abomination.

With love for my neighbors and surroundings,
