Nuclear waste burial in NW Ontario, HARD NO

There are fewer thing that can divide the northern residents and the southern ones in Ontariothan dumping nuclear waste in our back yard. No vote. No plebisite. Lots of money on the yea campaign vs the nay. One community bought and let decide the site. We are not even benefiting from the power generated by the nuclear sites. No direct grid. My concerns are:

1. Transportation issues. 1700km of the 11/17 death highway. ex: Raith April 2026 pesticide spill. Numerous other collisions.

2. Processing on site the bundles that came from southern Ontario.

3. One town and one reserve were consulted/paid off. Disgusting bribery. Lack of consent. No vote for the rest of Northwestern Ontario. I am just as close the site as Ignace is.

4. Legacy issues. Thousands of years. Keep it near the people who are in the Nuclear business. ie southern Ontario

5. Store it above ground, on site of the reactors, until we can properly process it andmake it safe. Thousands of years?

6. Heres a thought: If it is so hazardous quit making it. Hydro phased out coal fired plants because of the hazardous nature. Go with water/hydro generation, solar, wind, and shut this stupidity down.

HARD NO.
