Insufficient planning details

I strongly oppose the NWMO plans for a DGR between Ignace and Dryden. Boring holes into the Canadian Shield for nuclear waste is the most frightening plan I have ever heard of in my 65 years. Surely, with today's technology, humans can create a safer and cleaner means of creating energy.
After learning about the NWMO Impact Assessment, I feel many details have been omitted either out of neglect, lack of regard for human safety along the transportation route and to the people and natural resources in the region and everywhere the water flows from the area, should there be leaks of any type in the future. Transportation MUST be part of the Impact Assessment! Any emissions from the spent fuel packages affect everyone. The highways often are closed for multiple reasons for undetermined lengths of time. Accidents and fatalities are becoming very common.
There doesn't seem to be a plan for retrieval or monitoring for an indefinite length of time. The waste will outlive the containers.
If air is pumped out from the underground chambers, how will it be pure enough to breathe?
With such powerful and wealthy corporations pushing for this DGR site, how do the residents of NW Ontario, Minnesota, Manitoba, etc. feel supported? Is there truly an unbiased panel making the decision for the DGR?
To use the term 'best practice' is inaccurate as there's no authorized DGR in the world yet.
