Opposed to the Deep Geological Repository (DGR) in North Western Ontario for Canada's Used Nuclear Fuel

To the Nuclear Waste Management Organization, I am very concerned about the proposal to create a Deep Geological Repository (DGR) in north western Ontario. Nuclear energy has proven to be one of the dirtiest, slowest, and most expensive responses to the climate crisis. We need to act now and nuclear energy is too slow to build and it is too dangerous to use including the waste that it creates. There needs to be a full impact assessment of this proposal which includes participation of concerned Canadians within a sufficient and adequate time frame. There needs to be a public examination of the transportation of nuclear waste and storage of nuclear waste underground. Not only have we polluted our air, water and soil, but now this will include below ground. I am very concerned about the potential of polluting the watersheds connected to the Lake of The Woods and Lake Winnipeg including all the communities in these areas.
Although I am asking for a full impact assessment of this proposal, for the sake of life now and in the future, ultimately do not go forward with this proposal. I strongly oppose this proposal for a DGR in north western Ontario.
