Quinte Conservation Staff Comments

Quinte Conservation staff have reviewed the project proposal. The following items should be addressed:

• The potential for water temperature changes for the receiving waterbody during initial pumping of the mine. The effect of potential water temperature changes on existing biota.
• The water quality of the mine in comparison to the water quality of the receiving waterbody.
• The timing of the initial pumping both from a water quantity and quality perspective.
• Potential Erosion/geomorphology effects on receiving waterbody.
• The potential for disturbance to watercourses and wetlands (temporary and permanent) for the installation of roads, transmission lines and pumping infrastructure.
