Rouge National Urban Park Study comment

I am writing in support of the Canadian Federal Government undertaking a study to assess the impacts of development in the Duffins Rouge Agricultural Preserve on the Rouge National Urban Park. I also support the Draft Terms of Reference.

We need to assess the impacts with a forward thinking lens of analysis.  Many environmental safeguards have been dismantled in Ontario that I feel will only worsen climate change impacts on people, wildlife, and the environment ( air, water, and land).  We are seeing unusual patterns of weather- especially more rain in shorter periods of time- that will not have been part of the historic records.  We need to find some ways to bring in real time effects of where we are heading- not using only data from where we have been.
