Thunder Bay (Current River) Harbour Rehabilitation

Fisheries and Oceans Canada intends to complete a Rehabilitation Project at Thunder Bay (Current River) Small Craft Harbour located on the northwest shore of Lake Superior in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

The Rehabilitation will include:

  • Demolition and removal of the existing concrete decks
  • Replacing lost fill in the timber structure
  • Installation of new concrete decks and appurtenances
  • Repairs to undermined portions of timber cribs
  • Repairs to the rock protection slopes
  • Repair or replacement of the launch ramp

August 27, 2021 – Fisheries and Oceans Canada Small Craft Harbours has issued it's Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
