  • I do not wish to see the Ksi Lisims LNG pipeline built. I have a young son and the world he inherits from me needs to be thriving with salmon, wild places, and clean water. I believe the long term good of humanity (and my family) is more important than the short term profit from a pipeline and the climate change/environmental degredation it creates. Furthermore, recently mountain bike trails were built in the region and are a sustainable economic force, and a piepline will detract from the appeal of that tourism revenue. I love to mountain bike and will gladly spend money in the region when I go visit from Terrace, but if a pipeline is build I will not go visit. Lastly, I want to say that the people of this region are the wealthiest people in the world because there is a supply of clean water and abudant wild places, how will our children and grandchildren judge us when we value pipelines more than their hapiness and healhty ecosystems.

  • Climate change is a global issue and this project is a great way for Canada to be a global leader and supplier of low carbon energy to the world.  Being able to supply Asia with LNG to help them transition off coal from a facility aiming to be net zero emissions within a few years is a win for the globe and for Canada.  To my knowledge the geographic location of this facility will be one of, if not the shortest routes to supply energy to Asia from North America again making it a superior facility to offer the lowest carbon intensive LNG in the world.  This is a great project to support loweing global carbon emissions and to provide great economic benefits to Canada.

  • It's not like me to write something like this to folx like you. That this project is being considered tells me that the focus of the provincial government is simply the status quo. even the bureaucrat reading this. that you aren't quitting your job over stuff like this tells me that you are comfortable with what's going on. with the fires (caused by climate change and settler modification of ecosystems), and the many residential school murders being revealed (they're more connected than maybe you think off hand, but they are), the idea of entertaining applications that focus on the continued economic development of fossil fuels and other global warming resources makes little sense to me. My only direct comment is that you ought not to approve this plan. it's another waste of money to continue the up and down cycle for a system of production that isnt sustainable and even isn't advisable. if you're reading this you probably are privileged enough to hold a ...
