Yes to Coal Mining

This province needs investment and infrastructure that is done environmentally responsible. Oversight is important of course and can be done. The economic benefits of this project and the infrastructure it will create in the Crowsnest Pass, Pikani and surrounding areas is needed. Our lands are at risk because the lack of infrastructure and resources to maintain and protect it are so prevalent. Industry will work with our Municipality and Provincial governments to provide investment, jobs and the needed tools much like our neighbors to west in Sparwood and Elk Valley. Engage with them, learn what and how they are doing it. Tourism is important but without industry to support it , it will never come to fruition. We can protect our environment, enhance our public land use, see economic benefits for the community and province together.
