Junior Commissariat Officers' Quarters - Recapitalization Project

The recapitalization of the Junior Commissariat Officers' Quarters, a federally Recognized Heritage Building, is part of a series of Federal Infrastructure Initiative projects initiated in 2015 at Butler's Barracks National Historic Site. The Junior Commissariat Officers' Quarters is structurally unsound in certain areas, and renovations to the structure will be substantial including the replacement of the roofing system, stabilization and repointing of the chimneys, reconstruction of some of the walls, improvements to drainage around the exterior of the building, and installation and upgrading of utilities. This project will allow Parks Canada to explore future uses for this important heritage building.
