Please pause the permitting process of the Fording River Mine Expansion

Dear Members of the International Joint Commission

We urge you carefully consider mining pollution in our watershed before Glencore commits further damage. Mine expansions before this work is finished will undermine the entire effort.

The IJC is overseeing a process of developing long-term recommendations that incorporate both western science and indigenous knowledge, to address mining pollution in this watershed. Approving mine expansions before this work is complete would undermine the entire effort.

Future generations, as well as our current populations of humans and other creatures, require this consideration.
