This is a non-designated project on federal lands or outside Canada. The listed authorities are responsible for the project assessment.
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) plans to install a climatological station on the site of Kuujjuaq airport, property of Transport Canada. The station would be installed on an unused site of 30 m x 30 m and an access road of 180 m x 5 m would be put in place. The current site is a field composed of herbaceous vegetation. It will be necessary to strip it over a total area of ??1800 m2. In addition, for the needs of the station, shrubs (and potentially trees) would be cut within a radius of 100 m from the center of the station (area of ??314 m2).
