Parks Canada Agency - Trail 8c Re-route in Jasper National Park

This project will be assessed with a basic impact assessment. Trail 8c, in its current condition, is impassable. The project footprint is about 2225m long x 1.5m large. The route is not fixed as it can be altered to avoid tree removal. It is expected that 15-20 smaller trees will require removal.  Small excavator, skid steer and track dumper will be used in construction. Hand tools will be needed for trail shaping and more detailed work.

Project under reconsideration as of May 1 2020.
