I am submitting a comment as a member of the public regarding the Prairie Lights Power Plant Project. Having reviewed the pdf report entitled:
"PROJECT DESCRIPTION SUMMARY For the PRAIRIE LIGHTS POWER PROJECT" found at:

Under section 2.3.1.9 Existing Infrastructure on page 18 of the above report, it is noted:
"The only existing infrastructure that is present adjacent to the Project lands and includes:...an existing CNRL oil and gas surface lease on the SE boundary. However, this oil and gas surface lease has not been drilled to date and no surface disturbance has taken place."
There is increasing scientific evidence of seismic activity caused by hydraulic fracking:

If the Prairie Lights Power Plant Project goes ahead, the CNRL drilling lease should be cancelled or suspended until the Power Project is decomissioned. It would be catastrophic if the power plant were operational and CNRL's future drilling activities produced an earthquake right next door, crippling the Power Plant.
