Dear Reader,
I'm writing to you today to urge you not to allow the Bay du Nord Development to pursue.
Environmentally, I know first hand how detrimental oil and gas extraction and distribution are to the water and earth. Leaks and spills happen to every peice of infrastructure and are impossible to contain in the ocean. Marine life will suffer, for much longer than 30 years.
I adamantly believe in prioritizing people over profit, and this development is all about profit.
Stop colluding with oil and gas and focus on what needs to be done for the future of ALL Canadians, invest in green energy solutions! Fossil fuel does not need to own our lives and livelihoods!
Govern for the PEOPLE, not the PROFIT off exploiting the people, land, and waters.
Leave the oil in the ground! Support sustainable practices! If you wanna dig then implement geothermal services through cities and towns, stop extracting oil, stop funding and allowing oil and gas expansions.
