Opposition to the Fifteen Mile Stream Proposal

I am writing today to express my opposition to the Fifteen Mile Stream Proposal. I don't believe this project will have a positive impact. The company will use every provincial & municipal resource (roads, water, electricity) and contribute to pollution, destruction of natural habitat, and decrease our provinces ability to cope with climate change. Mining companies seem to like to appear as environmentally conscious, but they are not. They leave huge messes behind them when they have finished destroying land to extract resources. The short term gain (to the company) is not worth the long term loss to our province. I don't believe they can be relied upon to mitigate the harmful effects of mining activity & don't want to see another vital natural area destroyed to line the pockets of a select few.
