Hi

I was disappointed that I had not found out about the public discussion about expanding the Port of Trois-Rivières. I am a resident of downtown Trois-Rivieres and also a frequent international businessman who has visited many international ports.  I am most closely associated with the Port of New Orleans. 
 

My participation would add significant insight into further economic development and additional real estate development.
 

I would like to provide the best information and solutions that benefit Trois-Rivières, the Port and the City. 
 

I have particular experience in Steel Rebars especially the storage and inventory management.  I see too much space being consumed with rebar not efficiently stored. I also have experience with Wire Rod handling. 
 

I am keen to learn and participate in what is being planned. I’m curious to know who are the prospective tenants for these warehouses. 

Laker Vessels to discharge cargo to lighten up before passing through the Locks on the way to (for example) Hamilton.
 

I see the Port of Trois-Rivieres’s greater potential to attract more break bulk customers. 
 

Adding value through improved distribution solutions. 

Currently customers have difficulty trying to manage the high cost of ocean freight by chartering the entire vessel. In the Winter there is no laker traffic. My idea is to significantly improve the distribution and logistics at the Port of Trois-Rivieres so that the lakes business has a viable alternative (The Port of Trois-Rivieres)  during winter when the locks are closed.
