The Proposed Project

The Thunderchild First Nation is proposing construction of a new fire hall building to support emergency response and fire protection services for the Nation. The project will include a multi-bay fire hall, concrete apparatus aprons, a truck turnaround pad to accommodate emergency vehicles, and a small parking lot for staff and visitors. Other required infrastructure includes fuel tanks, connections to sewer and water service, and connections to power, natural gas, and communication lines. The facility will be sized to accommodate the growing need of the Thunderchild First Nation. The expected lifespan of the project is 20+ years.

Site works will include topsoil removal from construction areas, earthworks to ensure appropriate drainage and ditching, pouring of concrete, construction of the building, placement of the gravel driving surface and grading of the parking area, establishment of drainage, and service connections.
