The Proposed Project
The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project. Building 325 is a pumphouse and water purification plant used for fire suppression and domestic water supply on the Cold Lake Air Weapons Range (CLAWR). It is in poor shape and requires renovations. A new prefabricated building beside the current pumphouse is proposed to be constructed to replace the current aging infrastructure. Works required include grubbing and removal of the surrounding vegetation, excavation for the pad of the new building, construction of the prefabricated building with new water inlet, addition of a truck-fill station, construction of a new gravel road, grading and landscaping of the surrounding area, tie in to the existing water line, and, based on a condition assessment, the possible replacement (or new construction) of the water inlet into Primrose Lake.
