March 10 2026 — Parks Canada Agency terminated this Basic Impact Assessment. The initial project was not carried out due to a priority mechanical failure at the dam, requiring emergency work on the valve. During this work, a technical inspection revealed that the cleaning initially planned was no longer necessary, as sediment accumulation was virtually non-existent and well below expectations. Despite the urgent nature of this unforeseen intervention, mitigation measures were rigorously applied to minimise the environmental impact during the work on the valve.
