The Proposed Project

The purpose of this project is to install approx. 20"x12" concrete top cap on 275' of existing waterfront retaining wall and add a water shedding splash guard. The retaining wall is located behind the RCMP Windsor detachment, along the Detroit River. A consultant will complete a site survey to determine flood risk and actual retaining wall height required with predicted future water levels. The project is being undertaken to mitigate flood risks and provide the RCMP site with a stable, flood-resilient wall which will improve long term structural integrity and drainage performance.
