Mathias Colomb Cree Nation Nursing Station Replacement– Public Comments Invited

January 16, 2026 Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Mathias Colomb Cree Nation Nursing Station Replacement, located in Mathias Colomb Cree Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, the Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

The proposed project is to construct a new Nursing Station with associated heated garage building and drive-in and residences, for a total estimate project footprint of 3,324 sq m,  in Mathias Colomb Cree Nation. It will be located in an area previously cleared near the east shore of the Churchill River (Pukatawagan Lake).
