The Proposed Project

Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation is proposing to upgrade the existing administration office located on the Chief Joseph Custer Reserve in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. The project consists of construction of a two (2) story addition with a footprint of approximately 817.3 square metres and a new maintenance/storage facility with a footprint of approximately 185.8 square metres, along with interior renovation of the existing single story administration office and mechanical/electrical systems upgrades. The project will also include upgrades to existing parking areas as well as construction of a new parking area adjacent to the addition.  There will also be upgrades to the existing landscaping and a small holding pond built for ground water catchment.

The existing building is connected to the city's water and sanitary sewer systems, provincial underground natural gas, electrical power and telephone lines.  The addition will tie into the existing systems within the building structure. The maintenance/storage facility will utilize existing infrastructure by extending it from their current locations within the property, to the new facility located on the site.
