Développement du chantier naval

Coquitlam, C.-B. – 27 juin 2025 – – L'Administration portuaire de Vancouver-Fraser, Environnement et Changement climatique Canada, Transports Canada et Pêches et Océans Canada ont déterminé que la proposition de projet développement du chantier naval proposé au 1950 chemin Brigantine, à Coquitlam (C.-B.), n'est pas susceptible d'entraîner des effets néfastes importants pour l'environnement.

 

Cette détermination a été obtenue en considérant les facteurs suivants :

• Effets sur les droits des peuples autochtones
• Connaissances autochtones
• Connaissances communautaires
• Commentaires reçus de la part du public
• Mesures d'atténuation faisables sur le plan technique et sur le plan économique

 

Les mesures d'atténuation prises en compte pour cette détermination comprennent les points suivants:

• All material intended for disposal at sea will be disposed of under a valid Disposal at Sea Permit pursuant to the provisions of Part 7, Division 3 of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 
• All works will be carried out in accordance with a valid Fisheries Act Authorization 
• All works will be carried out in accordance with a valid Canadian Navigable Waters Act Authorization  
• A chance find procedure will be developed for the project, be available in the immediate working area, and project personnel will be trained on response procedures in the event that archaeological resources are encountered 
• All works will be carried out in accordance with a construction environmental management plan 
• Any suspected contaminated materials will be contained, tested and disposed of at appropriate licensed off-site facilities 
• In-water works will be scheduled within the Fisheries and Oceans Canada least risk fisheries timing window  
• All operations will be carried out in accordance with an updated air emission management plan

 

L'Administration portuaire de Vancouver-Fraser, Environnement et Changement climatique Canada, Transports Canada et Pêches et Océans Canada ont déterminé que la réalisation du projet n'est pas susceptible d'entraîner des effets néfastes importants pour l'environnement.

 

Par conséquent, l'Administration portuaire Vancouver-Fraser peut réaliser le projet, exercer tout pouvoir, effectuer toute attribution ou tâche qui lui sont conférées ou fournir une aide financière pour permettre la réalisation du projet, en tout ou en partie.
