The proposed project
Saam Towage Canada Inc. are proposing pile removal and installation at their Vancouver Tug docking facility located at located at 2215 Commissioner Street. Pile installation and removal would support the larger dock replacement project that is outside of Federal lands and waters in the City of Vancouver. The overall project would replace an existing dock structure that has reached end of service life with a prefabricated dock and new steel piles.
Works proposed within the port authority's jurisdiction include the removal of one pile and the installation of approximately 4 new steel piles to accommodate the dock replacement. Pile replacement is anticipated to take a few weeks to complete.
