Wide Body MRO Hangar - Public Comments Invited

November 21, 2025 - The Calgary Airport Authority must determine whether the proposed Wide Body MRO Hangar, located in Calgary, Alberta is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, the Calgary Airport Authoirty is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

The Calgary Airport Authority is proposing a facility of approximately 180,000 square feet, in addition to 200,000 square feet of apron on up to 15 acres of land. The proposed project involves the construction and operation of a Wide Body MRO Hangar. The facility will support maintenance, repair, paint and overhaul activities for wide-body aircraft, enhancing aviation infrastructure and operational capacity in Alberta.
